Concurrent with the Sacred Defense Week, the anniversary of Iraq’s invasion of Iran in September 1980, a children painting workshop was held at the Abadan Gas Station Museum.

According to the manager of the museum, Ladan Alipour, during the week-long workshop, Abadan school students had the opportunity to visit the event twice a day, in the morning and afternoon, and take part in the free subject painting award contest.

Abadan Islamic Guidance, the Visual Arts Association and Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults took part at the event as contributors.

The workshop also witnessed a special ceremony on the fifth day of the event, to remind the end of Abadan siege by defeating Iraqi forces during Iran-Iraq war 1980-1988.

More than 300 students attended the workshop.

This year, the Abadan Gas Station Museum has already held a handicrafts exhibition in August for kids and young adults.
