According to the report of the public relations of the management of the museums and documents center of the oil industry, today (Tuesday, Khordad 30/ June 1) on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the seventh museum of the management of the management of the museums and documents center of the oil industry, the document of oil exploration in the village of Khesht sar (Mahmoodabad) was unveiled by Alireza Daneshi, CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company.
 
This document is related to the German group's exploratory excavation report in Khesht sar village in 1315 AD, which was stopped due to the start of the war.
 
The first excavations for oil extraction in Iran took place after Western archaeologists reported from Iran in the middle of the Qajar era, which led to the concession of D’Arsi during the time of Mozaffar-al-Din Shah, the efforts of different groups in different regions of Iran such as Chia srokh, Khanaqin and Naft shahr. Finally on the Khordad 5th 1287/ May 25th, 1908, Richard Reynolds' drilling group reached oil in Naftun, Masjid Sulaiman.
