First Petroleum College in Iran

This institute was inaugurated in 1939. Its building follows an Indo-British style and is up to architecture of that time. One could see the latest technological achievements, engineering and construction, design and unique equipment there.

The clock tower of this college was seen from long distances in Abadan while the clock bells could be heard ringing from farther spots.

Since its establishment until 1963, it was known as Abadan Institute of Technology. In 1989 it was attached to Abadan Petroleum University of Technology.
