the mollages of bituminous containers of the National Museum of Iran, which was selected and prepared with the joint cooperation of the management of the museums and documents center of the Oil industry, and the OPEC affairs and relations with the energy assemblies of the Ministry of Oil, the Persian branch of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) will soon be donated and sent to the Secretariat of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
 
According to the report of the public relations of the management of museum and documentation center of the oil industry, the mollages of two bituminous objects were shown on Saturday, Ordibehesht 30/ May 20, at the last day of the International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, with the presence of Seyed Ahmad Mohit Tabatabaei, the head of the Persian branch of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), Jabreil Nowkandeh, head of the National Museum of Iran, Afshin Javan, director general of OPEC affairs and relations with energy assemblies of the Ministry of Oil, and Hossein Shameli, head of the museum and documents center of the oil industry.
 
According to archaeological excavations, the people of Iran have been familiar with oil and bitumen since about four thousand years before Christ and used it for decoration and ornaments, treatment of diseases and most importantly wars.
 
The 27th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition with the slogan "Oil Industry; Technological Production and optimal consumption" started on Wednesday, Ordibehesht 27/ May 17, and ended Saturday, Ordibehesht 30/ May 20.
