Specialists discussed various aspects of this issue in a specialized meeting on the topic of "The Function of Science and Industry Museums in Today's Society" at the Dawazeh Dowlat Gas Station Museum.

 

According to the report of the public relations of the Management of the Museums and Documents Center of the Oil Industry, in this meeting, Kouros Samanian, Associate Professor of Tehran University of Art, stated: The audience is the main issue, and science and industry museums should know that if they want to continue their existence, they have a more difficult task ahead of them because they must create attractions for the public to draw them to the museum.

 

Mehran Nowroozi, a museum curator and active member of the ICOM Science and Technology Committee, also said in this meeting: In Iran's science and technology museums, we are still witnessing an old display of the evolution of technology, and to change this situation, the help of museum experts should be sought, of course, when the museum Be accepted as an independent and professional science.

 

Maryam Esmaili, the head of the museum projects of the Museums and Documents Center of the Oil Industry, also introduced the gas station museum as an industrial museum and explained the stages of construction, restoration of the museum and its challenges.

 

Nicolò Fisogni, the director of the Fisogni Museum, introduced this museum in Italy's Tradate and spoke on the economy of industrial museums, especially the challenges of the Fisogni Museum.

 

Marco Mucchetti, the curator of the Fisogni Museum, also introduced the cultural activities of the museum as well as the industrial museums of Milan and the networks of industrial museums in this meeting. This specialized meeting appeared in MIVA and Museum of tourism networks.
