Painting, storytelling and Shahnameh reading station was organized by the institute for Intellectual Development of Children and young adults (Kanoon-e-parvaresh-e-Fekri-e-Koodakan va nowjawanan) in the Masjid Suleiman Well No. "1" Museum.
 
According to the management of the Museums and Documents Center of the Oil Industry, the painting, storytelling and Shahnameh reading station was held in conjunction with the 115th anniversary of oil discovery and with the participation of Masjid Sulaiman Oil and Gas Exploitation Company at Well No. 1.
 
Well number "1" of Masjid Suleiman, as the first oil well in the Middle East, erupted on the 5th of Khordad 1287/ May 26, 1908. This well is located in an area called Kherson Valley (Nefton oil field). Well number "1" was 360 meters deep and its daily production was 36 thousand liters (equivalent to 228 barrels per day) of light crude oil. The driving force of the machinery related to the well drilling rig number "one" was provided by the steam turbine.
 
The current location of well number "1" is registered in the national heritage list. The main display element of this museum is the well number "1" and next to this well, there is a boiler for producing steam, a steam powered reciprocating drive to produce crude oil, a steam powered reciprocating pump, facility pipes, well drilling drill cables, rotating barrels and ...
